This was the first thing I worked on where I had to show the Nether Region and all the Breakers’ world.  It made my head hurt, especially being so rusty after several years of just focusing on being a parent rather than an artist.  I’m pretty sure I cried working on this page, maybe more than one time.  I still have the impulse to redraw it; I know I could do even more with it, but I won’t.  I like it because it is the first document of what I wanted the world to represent and it marks a moment of conviction when I knew that, after all these years, THIS is the story inside me that is worth telling and I will stick with it and tell it even when it breaks me.
