Woodsy V. Lobster

The Woodsman and the lobsters.

The woodsman and the lobsters! I think this was foremost in my mind once both of these characters came into being. I like the clash between folklore and sci-fi, magic and technology, wildness and structure. Also, I like drawing robots and I like drawing lumberjacks, so…. there is that, as well.

You can find more pages from the Sketchybooks and more comics at Wiltworthy Galactopera and Thank You Notes.  Thanks so much for taking a peak at my work here!

Walk My Speed

1 offtoschoolfordshire

I can remember having to talk with my son about walking “our speed” when we had to get somewhere with purpose- like walking my daughter to school. We couldn’t meander everywhere like we would other times. This made an impression because it set off a series of attempts to retake control by repeatedly asking, “Walk My Speed?” anytime we were marching with purpose.

This is one of the first pages in the sketchbook that kicked off Yeti Spaghetti sketches.
